Kazakh corporate and financial institutions are becoming increasingly interested in listing on foreign stock exchanges and our capital markets and securities team in Almaty is well positioned to respond to clients’ requirements when it comes to accessing the international capital markets.

We advise on the structuring aspects of acquisitions and disposals of as well as on local regulatory and tax compliance issues. We conduct due diligence reviews of the Kazakh assets which are the subject of an IPO, assess any legal risks related to title, litigation and outstanding debt issues and provide subsequent recommendations on how any identified risks may be minimised.

In the securities area, our lawyers prepare loan facilities for local and international banks, advise clients on the issuing of local bonds, conduct legal reviews of prospectuses, oversee lending/credit issues and prepare corresponding documentation, draft securities agreements, assist in the purchase and sale of securities through the appropriate stock exchanges and generally advise on significant aspects of all securities related legislation.
